About Me

Georgia, United States
Every morning I wake-up, shake the fuzz out of my brain, and hit the ground running. I want to be more laid back and go with the flow (and some days I am that person). But all the other days I am hustling Ramsey and Isabelle (my kids) through life, alternating between adoring William (my husband) and wanting to give him a light pop upside his head, teaching kids with special needs, and tending to Cotton and Jack (the dadgum dogs).

First Post Ever!

Tonight is December 31st, 2009.  Happy New Year! Happy New Decade!

2009 has been an emotional, troubling year for me.  This time last year, I was recovering from a pretty invasive complete abdominal hysterectomy.  But, I was SOOO healthy.  I had lost 20 pounds before the surgery and was in really good shape. The hysterectomy was followed by recurring plantar fasciitis, a hip injury, and extreme stress at work that led to panic attacks.

By May of 2009, I had gained most of the weight back.  Then through the summer, I slipped back into old eating habits.  The hip and foot pain worsened despite trips to the podiatrist, neurologist, and physical therapy.  I tried to work through it....but, it hurt..badly.

Now it is December and I have gained more than the 20 I originally lost.  My body has changed because of the drastic hormone changes caused by the hysterectomy (plus Doritos, Twizzlers, laziness, and stress). Belly fat is new to me, but definitely a problem.

So, here I go again. I am excited to get back to it. 2010 is my year!  I have a plan.........
